Katadyn Siphon Filter Ceramic 1 1/2 Gallons Per Hour. The Siphon can be used to make a gravity system out of any water container. Place one or more Siphon filter elements into a container and let the water run through the hose into a lower-positioned vessel. Ideal for camping, base camps and emergency use. Siphon is lowered into container with untreated water and the water will drip into a container at a lower elevation. The higher the elevation the better the flow rate. Can be used in parallel to multiply the hourly yield. Filter wall can be cleaned up to 300 times and can filter up to 13000 of water before needing replacement. Removes Bacteria protozoa and cysts. Also retains the micro-organisms that cause typhoid giardiasis cholera amebiasis bilharzia and cryptosporidiosis. Average pore diameter of only 0.2 micron prevents the smallest bacteria from passing through. Simple brushing regenerates filters.
