Greensand 7000 Stainless Steel Iron Filter: includes 3/4 inch by-pass valve; 1 cubic foot of Greensand iron filter media; and Fleck 7000 115v control valve. All the filter media you need for the system is included. Greensand iron filters are an excellent method of removing high levels of iron manganese and hydrogen sulfide from well waters. Iron and manganese are oxidized and precipitated instantly by contact with the greensand media. The system automatically backwashes and cleans the greensand filter media using potassium permanganate which is easily added on a regular basis to the potassium permanganate solution tank. Raw water pH should be 6.8 or greater for best performance although it will work down to a pH of 6.5. Chlorine can be fed ahead of the iron filter to increase performance. Filter tank is industrial quality heavy-duty robot-welded 316 stainless steel for exceptional long life. Max pressure recommended is 100 psi. Maximum water temperature recommended is 100F. Advanced Fleck 7000 electronic backwash control valve features fully adjustable backwash and rinse cycles and is loaded with features. Reliable electronic control provides quick setup and easy programming. Quick-connect clips allow easy installation and maintenance. Non-corrosive high-tech material construction. High flow bypass valve included. Environmental cover (NEMA-3R rated) protects control from the weather can be installed inside or outside if protected from freezing. 35 gallons per minute maximum flow rate and full-port bypass valve provides high flow with very little pressure drop. The recommended flow rate for maximum filtration performance is 3.0 gallons per minute but peak flow rates of 15 gallons per minute are possible. The backwash flow rate is 5.0 gallons per minute.
