Wingert Centrifugal Sand & Solids Separator: 2-1/2 inch pipe thread; for flows 129 - 224 gallons per minute; size is 10 x 35 inches; weight is 42 pounds. Drain size is 1-1/2 inch. Maximum pressure is 150 PSI; maximum temperature is 200F. These sand separators remove particles by centrifugal force. When the water passes through the separator sand debris and sludge is forced outward to the separator wall and downward pass the spin trap plate into the solids holding chamber. The Wingert separator has no screens; solid baffles; or moving parts. No maintenance is required other than periodic purging of the unwanted solids by opening up bottom ball valve (valve not included). Wingert separators can remove up to 98% of particles that are 40 microns and up. Pressure drop through separator is minimal and at the maximum flow rate is 4 PSI.
