HIP2 Scale-KDF/UltraCarb: Acetal/Polyester Twin In-Line Housing Filter System (under the sink). This system is for those who have specific filtration requirements that ceramic elements cannot provide sufficient reduction of alone. Complete with 3/8 inch Push-fit Connectors in housing. Ultracarb: Cyst Reduction (inc. Cryptosporidium and Giardia)>99.99%; Chlorine Reduction >97%; Particulate Reduction Class 1; Turbidity Reduction >99.69%; Lead Reduction >98.25%; Capacity (Gallons) 600; Flow Rate 0.5 GPM. An in-line undercounter pressure filter utilizing Doulton ceramic technology to provide filtered water. At the heart of every Doulton and British Berkefeld ceramic filter is the Sterasyl silver impregnated ceramic microfilter. The incorporation of silver locked within the ceramic structure inhibits the growth of bacteria giving the ceramics self-sterilizing properties and removes the need for boiling of the filter to remove or kill the impurities within the ceramic pores. The Doulton range of ceramic filter elements starts with the Sterasyl and with added core medias can become a three stage filter in one eliminating the need for expensive 4 and 5 stage systems. Doulton ceramics do not remove the beneficial minerals from the water ensuring the filtered water is enjoyable to drink and yet safe from harmful impurities. Doulton ceramic filters are manufactured to a diameter of 2 inchs/50mm with a 1/4 inch BSP threaded mount. They have the highly consistent and controlled pore structure necessary to remove a wide range of water borne contaminants over the life of the filter. All genuine Doulton ceramic filters are manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 quality assurance procedures which ensures highly consistant product quality with full batch traceability in operation. Can be easily added on to water cooler or fridge; 3/8 inch Push-fit connectors; Also available with Installation kit separate model. Three filtration stages within a single cartridge. The Doulton Ultracarb is a three stage cartridge combining the highly efficient filtration properties of ceramic with the enhanced water treatment properties of activated carbon and the heavy metal reduction capabilities of ion exchange media. The first stage consists of Doulton Sterasyl ceramic which provides genuine sub micron filtration. The cartridge reduces fine particulate matter bacteria cysts and turbidity. The incorporation of silver locked within the ceramic structure gives enhanced bacteriostatic and self sterilising properties. Second Stage: An inner core of activated carbon block removes chlorine and organic compounds. Third Stage: Ion exchange resin reduces Lead and other heavy metals. UltraCarb Cartridge: NSF turbidity reduction standard .53 >98%. Water Regulations Advisory Scheme approved. NSF approved version available. The (bonded) carbon technology used gives more uniform performance than traditional granular activated carbon filters and the ceramic shell can easily be cleaned to restore reduced flow due to blockage. All systems are rated to give at least six months use based on the usage of a typical family.
