Will the tests tell me if my water is safe to drink or not?

No they won't. The tests included are tests for general minerals so you can make sure your iron filter, neutralizer, sediment filter, or water softener etc is performing properly. It does not include health-related items. Our testing is accurate, but this is for informational testing only. No state certified lab tests are included.

To make sure your water is safe to drink, its important to test regularly for coliform bacteria, nitrate and other contaminants from a state-licensed EPA approved laboratory. If you live near industry, service stations, or agricultural, or if you wish healh-related tests we recommend using our WaterCheck Laboratory Tests, by National Testing Laboraties at least once per year.

Why should I have my water tested every 4 months?

If you have "problem" well water which was causing stains, odors, corrosion, or sediment, it is really useful to routinely monitor your well water before and after treatment so you can know if there any changes occurring. For example perhaps your well water changes seasonally, and has higher iron levels during the summer months (or winter months). By periodically testing your water, you can spot these changes and make any adjustments necessary in your treatment effort. For instance, perhaps your backwashing iron filter, or water softener, can be set to backwash twice a week, instead of once a week.

Does it take a lot of my time?

No, it takes only a few minutes of your time! This is why we designed this program, to save you a lot of time at a very low cost.

Here is how it works:

We send you the mailer boxes when you enroll in the program, with pre-paid postage.

Every 4 months we will send you a reminder email to send us in the samples. All you need to do is fill up one sample with untreated water before the treatment system, and one sample bottle after your treatment system, typically from your kitchen or bathroom.

Then one or two weeks later, we will email you the report along with any recommendations needed. All our water tests are reviewed by one of our WQA certified water specialists.

What if I don't use all the water samples in one year?

The offer is good for a 12 month period after you receive the samples. It not only includes water testing but also priority consulting if you need assistance with your treatment system and we are only able to offer for a 12 month period at a time. You can renew your subscription if you like after the first year, but all samples must be postmarked during the 12 month period.
