MetSorb® HMRG
Arsenic Filter Calculator

Find the Clean Water Store MetSorb arsenic filter for your peak flow, and estimate how long the media lasts. Media life is calibrated against Graver Technologies calculator data.

1
Your System
GPM
We size MetSorb to its Service flow rating (5 gpm per sq ft), which keeps at least 3 minutes of contact time at your peak flow.
2
Water Quality
ppb
%
As(V) is easier to remove. If unknown, use 80%.
pH
Under 8.0 is best. 8.0–8.5: shorter media life. Over 8.5: correct the pH first.

Pre-treatment: Install a dual-grade 50/5 micron sediment pre-filter ahead of the arsenic filter (Dual Grade 50/5 Micron 4.5" x 20" cartridge). Iron < 0.3 ppm, Mn < 0.04 ppm. pH under 8.0. If H₂S is present, additional pre-treatment is required. Install MetSorb before a softener, not after it (a softener ahead costs 15% or more of media life).
