Soda Ash Dosing
Calculator

Calculate the metering pump injection rate for soda ash (sodium carbonate) to raise the pH of acidic well water. Soda ash is the most common chemical used to correct low-pH water that causes blue-green stains and copper pipe corrosion.

Solution Tank Usage

Important: This is a starting-point estimate. pH correction is highly dependent on alkalinity (buffering capacity). Low-alkalinity water requires less soda ash but is harder to stabilize. After installation, test pH at the farthest faucet and adjust the pump output until you achieve your target pH. It may take several adjustments to dial in the correct setting.

Values assume low to moderate alkalinity (0–100 mg/L). Higher alkalinity water requires less soda ash.
