AF Series Fluoride Removal Filter Cartridge

High-Capacity Point-of-Use Fluoride Reduction for Drinking Water

The AF Series Fluoride Removal Filter Cartridge is designed to reduce fluoride in drinking water at the point of use. It uses ResinTech® premium SIR-900 synthetic adsorbent media, engineered for high fluoride capacity, low pressure drop, and long cartridge life.

This cartridge fits standard residential and light-commercial filter housings and is ideal for homeowners concerned about fluoride in municipal water supplies or private well water with naturally occurring fluoride.

    How It Works

Fluoride removal occurs through a chemical adsorption process using ResinTech® SIR-900 media. The media is specially processed to provide an extended surface area and optimized pore structure, allowing it to effectively reduce fluoride while maintaining consistent flow. It is physically stable, produces minimal fines, and performs reliably across a wide pH range.

    Frequently Asked Question

How often does this fluoride filter cartridge need to be replaced?

Replacement frequency depends on your incoming fluoride level, daily water usage, cartridge size, and flow rate. Under typical point-of-use drinking water conditions, most homeowners replace the AF Series fluoride cartridge approximately every 6 to 12 months.

Because fluoride removal capacity is finite, the cartridge should be replaced once the media is exhausted. Higher fluoride concentrations, higher water usage, or faster flow rates will reduce cartridge life, while lower fluoride levels and moderate usage can extend it. For consistent fluoride reduction, routine replacement is recommended rather than waiting for changes in taste or water quality.

If you are unsure about your fluoride level or need help selecting the correct cartridge size, our water specialists can help you estimate a replacement schedule for your specific water conditions.
