A.These separators will remove 98% of all particles 74 microns and up.
Q. Are there moving parts?
A. No there are no moving parts to wear out or replace.
Q. Do I have to change a filter cartridge or clean a filter?

Q. How much pressure loss is there through these separators?
A. 5 to 12 PSI depending on flow rate.
Q. What is the difference between the Sandmaster Centrifugal Separators and the Lakos Commercial Centrifugal Separators?
The SandMaster Plus Series is stainless steel and designed for residential applications.
- 304L bead blast finish; Plastic Internal slots
- Max Pressure: 100psi
- Flow Range: 5gpm-70gpm
The Lakos Commercial separators are available in CS (carbon steel) and SS (stainless steel).
- A-36 Carbon Steel; LAKOS Blue external powder coat finish OR
- 316 Electro Polished stainless steel
- Max Pressure: 150psi
- Flow Range: 3gpm-290gpm
Q. Which is better for continuous or heavy-duty applications?
A. Overall, the ILB/ILS series is a more robust and sturdier unit. Internal design is better engineered to handle a higher solid loading and higher usage when compared to the SandMaster Plus series.
