Description
J-PRO-38 Injection Check Valve – 1/2" MNPT x 3/8" Tubing
This upgraded and improved PVC injection check valve is designed for use with J-PRO-38 and J-PRO-22 metering pumps and similar chemical dosing systems. It installs directly into your water line and allows chemicals to be safely injected while preventing backflow into the pump.
Reliable Chemical Injection Point
The injection check valve is the critical connection point where your treatment solution enters the water line. It ensures that chemicals are delivered efficiently into the flow stream while protecting your pump from system pressure and contamination.
Key Features
- 1/2" male NPT threads for direct pipe installation
- 3/8" tubing connection for standard chemical feed lines
- Durable PVC construction for corrosion resistance
- Built-in check valve prevents backflow
- Helps maintain consistent chemical dosing
Why You Need an Injection Check Valve
Without a proper injection check valve, pressurized water can flow backward into the pump, potentially damaging internal components and causing unsafe operation. This valve:
- Prevents backflow into the metering pump
- Maintains proper injection pressure
- Keeps your chemical feed system operating safely
Common Applications
- Chlorine injection systems
- Hydrogen peroxide injection
- Well water treatment systems
- pH neutralization systems
- General chemical dosing systems
Installation Notes
- Install directly into a 1/2" threaded port on your pipe or fitting
- Use Teflon tape on the NPT threads only
- Connect 3/8" tubing securely to the inlet side
- Ensure the valve is oriented correctly for flow direction
Tip: Always verify that tubing connections are tight and inspect periodically for wear or leaks.
Compatibility
- JPRO-38 Metering Pumps
- Most standard 3/8" chemical feed tubing systems
When to Replace
Replace the injection check valve if you notice:
- Backflow into the tubing
- Loss of injection pressure
- Cracking or wear from chemical exposure
- Clogging or restricted flow
