5900-BT-AIR Sulfur Odor Filter (1.0 CF / 948) — Whole-House “Rotten Egg” Odor Removal
If your well water smells like sulfur (hydrogen sulfide), this whole-house air-injection oxidizing filter is designed to eliminate odor and improve taste without chemical feed pumps. An air pocket is maintained at the top of the tank to oxidize odor-causing sulfur as water passes through, while a catalytic activated carbon bed removes the oxidized compounds and residual odor.
- Odor removal: effective for hydrogen sulfide levels up to 8 ppm
- Single-tank oxidation: air injection combined with catalytic carbon media
- Fully automatic: backwashes and rinses the media on a schedule (commonly every 4–6 days)
- Smart control: 5900-BT valve with optional Legacy View Bluetooth/app monitoring
- No chemicals required: treats sulfur odors using air and filtration only
High sulfur levels: If your hydrogen sulfide levels are extreme (typically over 8–10 ppm), this system can be paired with a hydrogen peroxide injection system installed ahead of the filter.
