Manual Backwash Well Water Iron Filter with Pro-OX Lite

• No power required: the manual backwash control valve uses your well water pressure to backwash and rinse the filter.
• Pro-OX Lite: lightweight manganese dioxide filter media (12.5% MnO2), made in Texas with NSF/ANSI 61-certified Pyrolox Advantage media.
• Lighter media backwashes on smaller wells than heavy Pro-OX. This size needs 5 gpm to backwash; your well must supply it.
• Customers report many years of service, and the media is easy to replace.
• The media works down to pH 6.2; we recommend pH 7.0 or higher for best results.
• Backwash water is safe for septic tanks.
• High iron needs careful design. Send us your water test, and we'll build the right system around your water and how you use it. We recommend this system for up to 5 ppm iron. Higher removal rates are possible depending on water chemistry.
• Considering hydrogen peroxide for sulfur odor? We recommend a contact tank after the peroxide injection, then a catalytic carbon filter ahead of the iron filter to remove leftover peroxide.
• For higher iron, chlorine injection or air injection ahead of the filter may be needed. Iron bacteria, hydrogen sulfide and tannins can also be treated with pre-chlorination.
• Filter tank is certified one-piece seamless polyester construction.
• Max pressure recommended is 100 psi; 30 psi minimum.
• Maximum water temperature recommended 100F.
