Pro-OX Lite 7500-M Iron Filters
Our lowest-price Pro-OX Lite system
The 7500-M is our lowest-price Pro-OX Lite system: a rugged ceramic-disc control valve that backwashes automatically on a timer (days of the week).
It works best when your water already has oxygen or chlorine: water from a storage tank, city water, an aeration system or a chlorinator ahead of the filter.

Peak vs. continuous flow: Peak flow is what the filter handles in normal home use, where water runs in bursts (showers, laundry, faucets). Our bathroom ranges come from systems we've installed in real homes. Continuous flow is for long, steady draws, like filling a storage tank, irrigation, or running water for hours. If that's your use, size to the continuous flow, or call us with your water test.
Backwash Flow Rate: your well must supply at least this many GPM. Many wells make less than 10 GPM; size the filter to your well. Flow Rate Calculator
Short tank (13x30): for low ceilings; needs 12 GPM to backwash.
Why the 7500-M
- Lowest price. Our lowest-price Pro-OX Lite system.
- Ceramic components guaranteed for life. The valve manufacturer guarantees the ceramic components for life.
- 5-year control valve warranty. On the 7500-M control valve.
- Rugged. Ceramic-disc valve with no O-rings or seals; corrosion and sand resistant.
- Automatic backwash. On a timer (days of the week), with program recall after power outages.
- Very little routine maintenance. No piston and seals to service.
Good to know before you buy
- No bypass valve. Plumb a simple 3-ball-valve bypass (inlet, outlet, bypass).
- No Bluetooth app. Settings are made on the valve.
- No AIR option and no ozone option.
Need odor control? For sulfur odor or manganese, choose the Rev4 (AIR or ozone) or the 5900-BT (AIR), or add a J-PRO-38 ahead of the filter.

Questions
We recommend a J-PRO-38 if your water has iron bacteria, severe sulfur odors (hydrogen sulfide), or unusually high iron/manganese levels. The J-PRO-38 can inject either chlorine or hydrogen peroxide into the water before it reaches the filter.
This pre-treatment helps control iron and sulfur bacteria and oxidizes dissolved iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide gas, so the Pro-OX Lite filter can handle tougher water.
Considering hydrogen peroxide for sulfur odor? We recommend a contact tank after the peroxide injection, then a catalytic carbon filter ahead of the iron filter to remove leftover peroxide.
Our water treatment specialists can help determine if a J-PRO-38 system is recommended based on your water test results.
The spindown filter removes sand or grit that may be in your well water. Keeping sand out protects the filter media and the control valve, whichever valve you choose.
Another advantage is that it can be used to sanitize your Pro-OX Lite iron filter with chlorine bleach if you have iron bacteria. By adding a cup of bleach once a year to the spindown filter, and turning the water back on, the Pro-OX Lite media can be cleaned and sanitized. It only takes a few minutes and no chlorine gets in the house, as the filter is then put into backwash after sanitizing.
Most of our customers do install themselves, however it is easy for any plumber or handyman to install. Ordering the optional flex lines makes it very easy to hook up to your piping.
The 7500-M doesn't include a bypass valve; plumb a simple 3-ball-valve bypass (inlet, outlet, bypass).
The 7500-M uses a ceramic-disc valve that needs very little routine maintenance.
There is little or no maintenance required. If your water has iron bacteria you can add some chlorine bleach in the optional spindown filter, turn the water back on and clean the Pro-OX Lite media with chlorine once or twice a year. This removes any iron bacteria film and restores the media. Many customers go years with no maintenance.
At the maximum flow rate, expect about a 15 psi pressure drop; at normal household use it's less.
Your well produces a maximum amount of gpm. Many wells are less than 10 gpm, and you size the filter to match your available flow rate.
If you have a submersible pump with a pressure tank and switch, use this link to find your available flow rate.
