Test your water with a chlorine test kit, choose where you took the sample, then enter the total and free chlorine readings and tap Analyze Residual. You get your free and combined chlorine, the chlorine demand and what to adjust. Aim for 0.2–0.5 ppm free chlorine (about 0 after a carbon filter).
